I'm gonna jump on a soap box for a minute here. I hear commercials all the time promoting liposuction and the like to people who are overweight..with people saying things like, "I want to start living again." It makes me sad. My hubby and I are chunky and yes, we are working on weight loss continually with healthy diets and exercise. But we are in no way unhappy or not living because we aren't skinny. We are plump and one of the happiest couples alive, I believe. I just feel that our society encourages wasting away above contentedness, happiness & whole living.
We are eating natural foods, trying to cut out carbs as much as possible, swimming, & stretching. Most important, my husband and I are madly in love, affectionate and honest with each other. These things make us so much healthier than the worry, torment and artificiality that so many people have just to have the ideal body of our time.

Yes, Kelli, contentment brings so much peace..there are still many area (like perfectionism and caring what others think) that I am still trying to be okay with, but it is coming little by little..
