The Swim Dance

So this is the first summer since my kidhood that the swimming pool has become a living ocean and when I delve in, I again grow a fin and become a magical mermaid. Memories flood and engage me in play as I dive, flip and swirl around. The endorphins released in the water dance excite the imagination in mygiddy child mind and offer release and refreshment to my almost middle-aged body. It is my season of dance! On earth, dance eludes me - the water, however, is my stage of flowing grace!
