Sanctuary

Because of financial reasons, we are currently in the process of purchasing my in-laws home. In doing this, there are 2 families under one roof - my husband, me, & our 3 kids and my parents-in-law. It is tough. There are too many people with their own agendas and I get scared, feel used & lose hope. I read this blog post today and thought her suggestion of having a sanctuary to be like taking a deep breath of peace & safety. Our bedroom & backyard hold this safe space for me. I must inhabit the kitchen/laundry room when it is safe - like Bambi & his mom carefully stepping into the meadow. The living room I can enjoy, as well, when my husband is home. I hope to get a part time morning job teaching 3 year olds & make my classroom a sanctuary as well.

  3. This is such good advice, Bonnie. I'll be praying for you and your family in this tough transition. In the mean time--yes--sanctuary! So glad you stopped by the Wellspring today.

Bonnie - I love Debbie Macomber too!

In fact I run an online Debbie Macomber book club in case you are interested. I use Yahoo Groups for it. Here's the link:

We are currently reading through the Cedar Cove Series. Next month (August 27th) we will be discussing her next book in the series (92 Pacific BLVD). If you want to join and get caught up, you would be reading 8 books. However you wouldn't necessarily need to do it, but there is a lot of history amongst the characters.

In August there is also going to be a Cedar Cove Movie along with a TV series on Hallmark. I can't wait for that.
